Hey HN!

A few months ago, I introduced PGQueuer here, a minimalist, high-performance job queue library for Python using PostgreSQL. The original post received a lot of insightful comments, and the discussions were invaluable. Since then, I've been improving PgQueuer, but now I'd love to focus on areas where it fell short.

I'm particularly interested in feedback from folks who tried PgQueuer but found it didn't suit their needs. What was missing? What specific issues or limitations did you run into? Were there pain points around performance, feature set, or implementation that ultimately made you look for an alternative?

I'm aware that there are many job queue solutions out there, each with different trade-offs, and I'd love to hear more about why PgQueuer might not have fit the bill for your project. Any constructive criticism or thoughts would be super helpful as I plan future updates and enhancements.
