Finally, a photo of downtown Elizabethton with empty streets:
On Saturday, December 01, 2018 5:12 PM, before the Elizabethton/Carter County Parade began, I was able to grab some photo of the empty streets after years of trying. This is something I wanted to get for years. The downtown area, though small as compared to other local and regional cities, seems majestic and grand with those beautiful Christmas lights and sidewalk canopies. We are truly blessed to live in such a great area of Upper East Tennessee. We are also blessed to have so many wonderful tourist attractions and events that we can participate in as locals, and invite others from surrounding areas to enjoy.
Please share our little town with others. We have the weekly Cruise In and annual car show offered by the Carter County Car Club, the Annual Covered Bridge Festival, the Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival, and many more great events. Of course we have our annual Christmas Parade with was great this year.
