Show HN: Bacalhau 1.7 – Run Anything, Anywhere

Hacker News - Thu, 03/27/2025 - 8:12am

We just released Bacalhau 1.7 — a major update to our open-source distributed compute platform. This release makes it easier to run jobs wherever your data lives, whether you’re working with IPFS, S3, HTTP(S), or local files.

New in 1.7: • Memory tracking for better observability • Job include/exclude flags for tighter execution control • Support for more generic data sources • Swagger/OpenAPI docs for smoother integrations • More robust logging and runtime intelligence

We built Bacalhau to simplify decentralized compute — think fast, local-style jobs across a distributed stack.

Here’s the blog post with details and demos: https://blog.bacalhau.org/p/announcing-bacalhau-17-empowerin...

Would love feedback or to hear how you’d use this in your own workflows. AMA.

Show HN: Blnk Finance, open-source financial core for fintechs

Hacker News - Thu, 03/27/2025 - 8:10am

Hello HN,

We’ve been building Blnk Finance, an open-source financial core for developers that need reliable infrastructure for their fintech backend.

We built Blnk Finance to help developers who want to move fast without compromising compliance and correctness. Blnk gives you the building blocks to ship products like wallets, FX systems, credit applications and many more fintech related products.

We want to give developers the right tools and developer experience needed to compete and deploy reliable fintech infrastructure.

Some of our core modules include:

– Ledger: Double-entry system, account balances, transaction entries and workflows.

– Reconciliation Engine: Match internal ledger entries with external data sources.

– Identity Management system: Create and manage identities, tokenize PII and link identities to balances and transactions.

We care deeply about developer experience and we’re building Blnk to be both powerful and approachable from day one. Feel free to explore our documentation and GitHub repository as well!

– Repo: https://github.com/blnkfinance/blnk

CISA Adds One Known Exploited Vulnerability to Catalog

US-Cert Current Activity - Thu, 03/27/2025 - 8:00am

CISA has added one new vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, based on evidence of active exploitation.

  • CVE-2025-2783 Google Chromium Mojo Sandbox Escape Vulnerability

These types of vulnerabilities are frequent attack vectors for malicious cyber actors and pose significant risks to the federal enterprise.

Binding Operational Directive (BOD) 22-01: Reducing the Significant Risk of Known Exploited Vulnerabilities established the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog as a living list of known Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) that carry significant risk to the federal enterprise. BOD 22-01 requires Federal Civilian Executive Branch (FCEB) agencies to remediate identified vulnerabilities by the due date to protect FCEB networks against active threats. See the BOD 22-01 Fact Sheet for more information.

Although BOD 22-01 only applies to FCEB agencies, CISA strongly urges all organizations to reduce their exposure to cyberattacks by prioritizing timely remediation of Catalog vulnerabilities as part of their vulnerability management practice. CISA will continue to add vulnerabilities to the catalog that meet the specified criteria.
