So I'm a junior Go dev and I made a small site that allows me to share images with someone privately and securely, and give me control over how many times the private link can be shared and how long the image will be accessible for.

There are similar services to this one, but they are either convoluted with ads, or require sign-up, or expect you to fill out a survey or something.

picburn is small, safe, and has no interest (nor the code or the server space) for storing your uploads.

give it a try if it fits your usecase and let me know what you think.

I've been starting new repos over and over again, kept a list of personal skills too. But recently I have been thinking of a different approach: a "Minimal AGENTS.md" (or CLAUDE.md if you use claude)

The idea is inspired by "Organic Architecture" theory by architect Frank Lloyd Wright where a building will dynamically grow / change with people using it.

For example here are a few lines I put in the minimal AGENTS.md (conceptual)

1. Always keep a README.md in any folder greater than 5 files, and update the README.md of immediate and parent folders when changing.

2. Submit for code review using [{my preference of ai code reviewer venders}] and loop until code resolves. Ok to push back and dismiss. Do TDD if code reviewer found critical bug you agree to

3. Keep the memory of lesson learned in .memory/.md and update them, consolidate to skill if hit the same lesson more than 3 times.

And usually it helps kind of start the growth of the repo as I further develop it.

OpenAI is a deeply mismanaged company. Most recently, a blog post that feels like it has got to have dozens of PR violations, responding to the Apple lawsuit.

More broadly, OpenAI's main problem is that it does not have a real competitive advantage. No real models do; the real differentiation is price; they will become commodities.

So while at first it may look like OpenAI is doing too much, it is a desperate attempt to create some kind of real, defensible business, and show some proof of such before they IPO. If they do not do so, public market investors will cut their throats, and they will see a valuation drop like no other, regardless of where we are in the capital cycle. If they delay IPO plans, it will become clear they are in shambles. They are far behind in the enterprise game, which is short-term anyway. Their best bet is hardware; credit to Altman and co for realizing this, although Apple is a roadblock, which I hope, for the sake of competition, is removed.

Now Anthropic having a more coherent strategy of focusing on enterprise from the start is better; it is still not defensible. Perhaps because of the fact that the cost of paying Anthropic is far too great and outweighs any form of customer captivity. Plus, an enterprise gets maximum leverage by training a model, ideally a cheap one, on its own data so it can get insights tailored to the enterprise specifically, something Anthropic cannot deliver. Anthropic's fall will likely be in line with the broader capital cycle.
