Who wants to join a bootstrapped AI startup (Remote, Full-Time)

Tue, 03/25/2025 - 2:12pm

My co-founder and I are building Docgen (https://www.docgen.dev/)(stealth mode), an AI-powered tool that auto-generates technical documentation using LLMs. No more weeks wasted on manual docs—just feed code/text, and we analyze, structure, and produce polished, accurate documentation. Think "GitHub Copilot for docs."

We’re bootstrapped, early-stage, and 100% remote. After 8 months of nights/weekends, we’ve validated the MVP with early design partners. Now we need a full-stack engineer (or relentlessly curious builder) to help scale the core product.

Why this is interesting:

Hard technical problems: Chunking/embedding strategies, fine-tuning OSS LLMs, deterministic structuring of outputs.

Impact: Documentation is universally hated but critical. We’re fixing a $B+ pain point.

Ownership: You’ll be employee #1. Significant equity + salary (for a bootstrap).

We need someone who:

Has shipped production code in Python/TypeScript and tinkered with LLM pipelines (RAG, eval, etc.)

Can wrestle design APIs, and care about DX

Thrives in chaos: We’re a 2-person team. No PMs, no meetings—just building.

If you’ve ever rage-quit writing docs or want to shape the future of LLM tooling

let’s talk: support@docgen.dev (Github/LinkedIn + 1-2 sentences on why this speaks to you).

Ask HN: If you're an organization doing AI/ML what are you using?

Tue, 03/25/2025 - 1:27pm

Really a question on vendors and services less on techniques or research.

Bedrock

Zapier

Glean

If anyone has an atlas for trusted vendors for various use cases that would really help

Thanks

Show HN: MCP Server Built in Go for Pinning GitHub Actions

Tue, 03/25/2025 - 1:23pm

GitHub commit tags are mutable. This makes GitHub Actions that extensively rely on commit tags vulnerable to supply chain attacks. GitHub recommends that actions are pinned to commit SHA instead of using tags.

But managing pinned commit SHA requires resolving and updating them. I wrote an MCP server that can resolve GitHub refs to commit SHA, find latest releases etc. helping to pin existing GitHub Actions to their commit SHA and updating them to latest releases.

We tested with Cursor MCP support and it is now our giro tool for managing GHA and container base images pinned to immutable references.
