Show HN: Zuni (YC S24) – AI Copilot for the Browser
Hi HN,
I'm Will, and along with my co-founder George, we've built Zuni (https://zuni.app) - a browser extension that adds contextual AI capabilities to your browser. It understands what you're reading and working on, whether that's email, research, or anything else in your tabs.
We started out building a full email client with AI built in (you might have seen that version showcased in YC’s AI Design Review - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBhSfROq3wU&t=1601s), but learned that people don't actually want to leave their existing tools - they just want them to work better. Gmail might be frustrating, but it has years of features people rely on. So we pivoted to enhance the tools people already use, rather than replace them entirely.
Some specific things Zuni does today:
- Analyzes emails as you read them in Gmail, identifying action items and suggesting possible responses - Lets you discuss how to handle tricky emails, almost like having a thought partner - Maintains context across your browsing session so you can ask follow-up questions naturally - Runs locally first for speed and privacy - Doesn't store chats, emails or anything sensitive in the cloud
We're still early and focusing on getting the core experience right before adding more integrations. The goal is to make AI actually useful in your daily work, rather than just another "AI feature" checkbox.
Would genuinely love feedback from the HN community - what would make this truly useful for your workflow? What are we missing?
Happy to answer any questions about the technical implementation too.

Show HN: News v2
Hello,
I built a simple ad free news website after growing frustrated trying to get my news from news websites filled with ads or social media platforms filled with distractions.
I was looking for a news website that gave me literally just the news in a simple - distraction free platform. But could not find a solution that satisfied what I was looking for - so I started building one.
Over last couple of months I developed newsv2.com - a website that is just news with no ads, no images, just headlines and basic descriptions.
The headline based news feed is free and you can use it today and I would appreciate your feedback
60-70% of people just read headlines when getting their news so just presenting those alone should keep people informed but would like to hear your thoughts.
I find myself using newsv2.com/live everyday for my news - and am very happy with it and I finally have a way to get my news without having to go on social media or news websites.
You can also test out the audio visualizer i built into the app for free at newsv2.com/audio - you can visualize audio from youtube videos with it by sharing your browser tab with the visualizer or audio from your mic - just a fun feature.
Also just so you know there are also optional AI features as well, while not the focus of this post, if you are interested (you can use for Free for First month with code PH100 at checkout with 100-200 Credits per month Subscription - cancel anytime)(Note: requires sign up and is not focus on post but just wanted to clarify)
Not looking to sell subscriptions more so looking for feedback and want to give users a way to test those features if they're interested for Free.
I'm also never going to put ads on this site - site is focused on users first and would greatly appreciate feedback to improve it.
Please send feedback or any questions to news@newsv2.com, thanks!

Ask HN: Do Quantum Computers Exist?
Serious question. Has anyone here actually:
- put their hands on one?
- logged into one?
- performed calculations or brute forced encryption with one?
I ask because several open source applications are implementing encryption schemes that are said to prevent being broken by quantum computers but I have no idea how they have tested their encryption outside of theory. I have seen pictures of things that purport to be quantum computers but they just look like the artwork that a former colleague created using failed components from the data-center.
If nobody from HN have touched one then I want to know where is the bubble that contains these experts?

Show HN: Norman MCP – handle accounting and taxes from Claude/Cursor
Hey HN
Recently built an MCP server to connect https://norman.finance — accounting & tax autopilot for entrepreneurs in Germany — to Claude, Cursor, and other LLMs.
I wanted to experiment with making our product feel natively integrated into AI/dev workflows.
Now I can do things like: write code, generate and send invoices, and reconcile transactions — all within a single dev environment.
Repo to try it locally or build on it: https://github.com/norman-finance/norman-mcp-server
Would love feedback from anyone exploring MCP or building LLM-native apps.
