Show HN: Integrate – a Rust crate for numerical integration (+ an mdBook guide)

Hacker News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 7:57pm

I recently built Integrate, a Rust crate designed to make modular integration in Rust projects smoother and more ergonomic. If you've ever struggled with structuring Rust applications or composing independent modules cleanly, this crate might be useful for you.

To make adoption easier, I’ve written a comprehensive mdBook that explains how Integrate works, real-world use cases, and best practices: https://mtantaoui.github.io/Integrate/

I’d love to get feedback from the Rust community! Does this approach make sense? Are there features or pain points you think should be covered?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

There should be a way to easily "share" my AI chatbot convos on social media

Hacker News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 7:06pm

Sometimes I get into some conversations with these AI chatbots where I have a strong urge to be able to share them on something like a social media platform. I'd love to see some enhancements to these tools (like ChatGPT / Gemini, etc) that might help integrate them more seamlessly into the whole "social media experience".

Show HN: Text augmentation tool for biomedical texts

Hacker News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 6:55pm

Hi! I built an augmentation tool for biomedical texts to help reduce repetition in ML datasets by targeting species and strain names. The tool has been tested with NER, and there are also two datasets available: https://github.com/tznurmin/TEA_curated_data

Hope you find it useful!

Is Apple misleading us in their Lumon Terminal Pro video?

Hacker News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 6:50pm

I was just watching that promo video on Apple’s site — the one tied to the Lumon Terminal Pro page.

There's a scene where a film editor is working on what looks like a Mac mini, and at first, it really seems like they’re using it to do full-on video editing (1m47s). But later in the video, you can clearly see they’re actually remoting into another machine. You can even spot the remote desktop UI (8m05s).

Now I’m wondering — was this a slip-up? Did Apple accidentally show what’s really going on?

Or was it intentional… and if so, why hide the remote session in the earlier shots?

Either way, it feels a bit misleading. Like, the whole thing subtly suggests the Mac mini is powerful enough for pro video editing, but in reality, it’s just a thin client here.

Anyone else catch this?
